Hi everyone,
I found this prismatic lifepo4-cell (3.2V 4500mAh, see link below) on ebay. Would you consider it a good cell?

I'm sad it looks like he copy and pasted the specs from batteryspace.com as the table there looks the same (see 2nd link below). also title and sticker say "4500mAh" but in the specs it says "1000mAh", that's weird.

this the ebay link:
http://cgi.ebay.de/Polymer-LiFePO4-...hash=item280288081320&_trksid=p3286.m63.l1177

specs probably copypasted from here:
http://www.batteryspace.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=4053

He also sells packs with these cells under another account (he uses same email on both accounts, and as someone asked him what cells he uses, he claimed he uses prismatic cells for his packs, so probably these:
http://cgi.ebay.de/New-LiFePO4-48V-...hash=item300274969381&_trksid=p3286.m63.l1177

I discovered he's registered on ebay as Ching Lau, so probably it's good old Lau Chan? also considereing the lifepo4.hk-sticker on the cell? lifepo4.hk looks like a scammer website anyway...

So is Lau really such a bad guy still or has he changed and now become a good honest lifepo4 seller??? ;)

Greetings
Nicoist

Only one way to find out.

Indeed. Buying one for testing would make sense!
But as I alreaedy just have won a lifepo4 48V 20Ah auction consisting of these cells (I was just hesistating about making the payment as I found out it's Lau after finishing the auction) I'll probably try the pack, as he claimed that the pack is made of 80 of such cells, which makes sense to me, and good thing is that getting replacement cells seems to be very easy. Possibly it's the same cells Ping uses in his newer batteries (also 4Ah)...

wishing myself good luck with my new lau experience =)

Ping's Version 1.0 cells had copper tabs. I don't understand why that would suddenly change with version 2.0, but if it hasn't, then I think it's probable that Ping doesn't use the same type of cell. But... then again, other sellers have used the same cells that Ping has in the past, so I suspect there'd be some seller out there now who uses the same cells as he...
