Hello people, I am thinking of building a medium-powered (30-35mph) honda ct-70 conversion using this motor, but I'm having a hard time finding good information or builds using it. The other motors in this 'family' - the qs 120 2kw and qs 138 3kw motor all seem to be very underrated in terms of their performance, so I am wondering if the qs 90 is similarly underrated. Realistically, I think that 3 - 4kw of power would be sufficient for this project, but from what I have read the qs 120 seems to be overkill for that power target. Does anyone have experience with this motor or the qs 120 that could give me some insight here?
Thanks!

I've got the 1000w in a ktm65. Works really well at about 4kw peaks. Current gearing will hit 65kph quite quickly. Temp sensor is glued between fins but never seen more then 45 degrees externally. I would like to have a controller that could give it 5 - 6kw peaks. Reckon it would handle it.

That sounds like an awesome little bike! What is your pack voltage and controller? Were you able to put a sprocket on the shaft of the 1000w motor?

It runs a 18s of chevy volt 15ah cells. 75v full charge.
Bit of machining, but I've got a 10t 428 welded to the stock belt sprocket.
My 9 year old boy loves it. He can hole shot 125's
