I'm looking at getting a cheep kit motorcycle to convert to electric and have been looking at the "Bubba 250cc Chopper Motorcycle MC-DF250RTB Pro Street Chopper" as a starter, lots of pics available for the MC-DF250RTB model that look like a great bobber chopper style and its narrow enough to use an easily available motorcycle hub motor/kit from leafbike.com or a mid frame motor setup like you can get from the e-motorcycle section at goldenmotor.com, however i'm trying to keep my cost as low as possible and have been searching for a supplier in the hopes of getting one for less than the apparent average price of $2000. I did find what seems to be a great deal but it seems a little too good and id like to know if anyone knows about this site.

the link is to the bike i'm looking at, at $900 its a great price compared to the $1999 that is the next step up in price available without having to contact someone in China directly where I can confirm measurements of the bike to make sure its full size and not a mini. The thing is, shipping is showing as $5 basic and payment method is listed as COD, these are the only options given for shipping and payment methods, and while I like being able to not pay till I get the package and the price is incredible, I would like to be able to make sure I will get what i'm looking for and be sure its not going to arrive broken before I pay, especially since it says any shipping damage is the buyer responsibility to file a claim and report to the shipping company under their shipping&returns info page though its refreshing that they say it since that is a pretty common practice of most budget sites anyway. Since i'm planning on a replacement for motor and trans already my primary concern is frame, forks, and wheels, everything else can either be repaired or replaced fairly easily and cheaply. Dose anyone on here have experience with or info on this company? Dose anyone know if the shipping they use has a good reputation or not? Can anyone confirm if they send an MSO or MCO that can be used in Washington state? They seem to have several electric scooter and pocket bike options so i'm hoping someone on here has tried these guys before.

.. at~~ 500 lb, at least it cannot be a mini bike !
but its hard to imagine they can even cover the freight costs on a 500 lb package from China , at $900 !
so, yes i agree , it does seem suspicious !
genuine previous buyer feedback would be essential .
..oh , and getting it street legal might be a challenge !

Dang, look at all the things I want at those prices. I notice there's a lot of people asking recently about them, no older postings even though they had the page on the vstoresite.com site for more than 4 years. I'm not finding anything bad, I'm just not finding where anyone reports placing an order. Most importantly, noone saying they received their order. They apparently responded on a messageboard where someone asked about them a few months ago.

Oh, they have some electrics, too.

So for the moment I'm wanting to pull up a chair and follow your order, to see how it goes.

Oh, the bike seems like a nice prospect, from what I can tell. I'd expect it weighs in the 150-200 pound range.

Hillhater, ya, making sure it can be registered as street legal and will arrive in tact (at least so far as the frame, forks, and wheels which i can't repair and are either expensive or impossible to replace) are my primary concerns, though the bike is the same model as other legitimate sites are selling at more than double the cost so i'm pretty sure that it is street legal, just getting the MSO/MCO paperwork to register it could be a problem. Though the timing indicated in the shipping info section of the website makes me think they are not shipping from china but from a warehouse in the states as if they got a bunch of unsold stock for cheep from other sites and are trying to turn a profit on the older model, i'm thinking this is a possibility since there are 2 newer model's of this bike, the MC-DF250RTB-A and the MC-DF250RTB-B that sell for about $2000 to $3000 with some assembly required, but appear to use the same base frame with different front forks and handlebars, and probably an improved motor that i don't care about. Honestly, I don't know what most distributors are thinking with their pricing, if i'm going to spend $3K on a full bike i'l just buy a Heist (which is the same style and i think maybe frame too) from one of the local Cleveland Cyclewerks distributors to get it fast, fully assembled, pretested with full certifications, and registration already done. Which is why i'm looking at the older model and assembly required bikes to get a lower price.

Dauntless, not so sure there will be an order from best quality motorsports if i don't get some confirmation they are at least legitimate. If i don't get it from them i will probably get it from http://www.extremescooters.biz/250cc-street-legal-bobber-chopper-B.aspx instead since extremescooters dose give all the guarantees needed and has some support on http://www.chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=8479 , its just more than twice the price and id be happier if i could get something in between like $1500 w/o any warranty (that im going to void anyway) but guaranteed to get it in good condition.

Check with your local DMV or whatever they call it where you are, regarding getting it a plate. It might be that you can, but have to go through whatever hoops you jump if you make a motorcycle from scratch.

I was already planning on that dogman dan, but I first have to determine where i'm going to get it from, in particular whether http://bestqualitymotorsports.vstoresite.com/ is legitimate or too big a risk.
