Had some parts laying around, decided to build a drift trike. Frame done from the scraps i had gathered from the dumpster:

1kW motor laced in Alex DX32:

Will use 12FET 40A controller.

Had Tektro Auriga comp, will use that:

Got some go kart wheels, just by accident bumped into them, nowhere to get them in LTU:

Added another switch, dont know yet if controller supports reverse:

Re-done main wiring. I need some help identifying some headers. I figured the 5 pin for halls and the 3 pin for throttle. Need the rest:

That thing looks sweet, wish I had one when I was a kid. Bet it's going to be a blast.

Looks great! Can you show us more of the seat slider? I'm curious how it works. It would be a good mod for my neighbors trike. We're tall and the kids are short. Lol

thanks boys. For the seat i have used 2 square tubes. One 25x25x2 another 30x30x2. 25x25 is welded to the frame and has 8mm diameter long slot milled
30x30 has one side cut off to form U shape and 8mm hole in the middle with 8mm nut welded on one side. Seat is mounted to it. When the bolt gets tightened, if squashes 30mm tube to 20mm tube. I'll get more photos of the system. Here is the vid:

Getting my battery finished. Welded aluminium box for it, made PP lid and notched holes for connectors:

I have made the box bigger for the wiring and all and now i think i can mount DC/DC converter inside as well.

I port for charging, wires with bullets to the controller, centre circular connector for lights, BMS ignition kill.

Tomorrow will be working on battery mounts.

There is nothing either "quick" or "dirty" about this build.

Looks nice.

I agree... so far.

How he does the wiring could change that.. but so far, looks great. I want to ride it.

:D to sum up time spent making it so far - four 8 hour days. it will take another 3 to finish it up. Then it will be fully operational but i will want to paint it. Total, one week to build from ground up = quick (for me). Dirty, because its from scraps laying around :)

I have got myself a sandblasting gun and a compressor. Post Christmas presents. Sandblasted the frame, slow, not enough pressure and tank capacity but i done it:

After:

I have also ordered to water jet some spacers for the disc brake. Stainless:

Have done first coat of primer. One more to go and then couple coats of paint.

Not only do I like it, but I need to ride it!

Continued on small bits. Added speedo. Quick tutorial. If you have spokes further away from fork, you could unbolt one bolt from hub motor, cut off the head of same diameter longer bolt and mount the sensor:)

Was lucky to find same colour speedo localy. Had to make a bracket to fit it nicely:

After many searches I give up and will continue on diy seat. Got final layer of the foam. Now PU leather:
