I am in the market for a good chain breaker, so I am looking at a couple different styles, I am leaning towards this style:

Sounds like an all-around winner since it can break multiple sizes, but I am not sure if it's a good design, it looks solid to me, made in the USA is a HUGE plus, and I have broken the traditional style breakers just on regular bicycle chain, so I am thinking really hard about buying this one.

Advice? Thanks! :)

I just got one of those chain breakers last week. I have only broke #25 and #25H chain with it and it worked very well. It is easy to use, the only thing that sucks it you only can break the chain and not put it back together with it. I hate master links on my chains for my mounatinbaord, because the spring part of the master link gets caught on stick and other debris. I just used plieres to put the #25 chain back together with no master link.

Oh, good point! Thanks for that information, i definitely want to be able to put it back together too, so maybe what I prefer is more of a "chain vice" thanks for the tip! 8)
