Hello!

I have a Fiik clone and have thoose 115 mm solid rubberwheels on alu rims (see pic below).
I planning to mount ABEC 11 Electric Flywheels to get more milage through less rolling resistans PU and real skate bearings (Im planning on the Bear 10 mm for the ABECs, wont't fit the rubbers with 26 mm outer dim).

Im not sure which one of the three flawors to get, 74A green, 77A pink or 80A lime, and since they are pretty expensive I wantto to be sure. First I wantto have less rolling resistans but not harder than needed since my path are rugged. The 80's are maybe too hard and I'm also worried to not have enought grip. The rubberwheels are very grippy, not possible to slide in any way. Still im sometimes loose grip whith the rubbers, like braking in the steepest hill.

Is it true the softest PU give best grip? Will the 74A roll easier then the rubbers? Will the 80's be much harder then the rubbers and loose grip in steep hills accelerating/braking? Colourwise I like the limes best and second the pink, but can live whith the greens also.

If the grip will not be enought I may choose the ABEC on three wheels and the old rubber on the drive wheel.

Polyurethane wheels will have less rolling resistance compared to rubber wheels inflated with air, but for a solid rubber wheel I'm not sure if it is the same as a polyurethane wheel. For a comparison of hardness levels to other objects, the chart shown below can serve as a guideline. Skateboard wheels will use the Shore A scale.

I bought an Onda Longa board which has 7" 180 mm wheels and the urethane is 80 something.

Rolls nowhere near as well as 78a skates wheels on smooth pavement. If I hand spin the Onda wheels they spin and spin. Really the Onda board want's to slow to a stop.

The bigger wheels definitely roll over imperfections etc much better.

I just can't see how they would be as efficient powered.

When the batteries and motors are strong enough maybe not an issue.

One of those tradeoffs

My wheels are solid rubber (edit above). They was very common on comersial e-boards before. I've read that (soft) PU's runs smother than the Rubbers but also the opposit. According to the chart above rubber is softer but I beleave that rubbers also come in different hardness. What I read is that PU's, of comparable hardness as rubbers, rolls better because of better rebound, -less energy waist.

But it is also the grip factor that complex things even more.
