San Francisco: The Wiggle route avoids steep grades

Yeh that route is the bomb. I used that all the time to get to/from Caltrain when I was living in the inner Richmond.

I envisioned part of a successful cargo-bike co-op as having a data base of low profile routes. Cue sheets or maps to and from their intended destinations could be printed for the people just needing a cargo-bike for a few hours. If they tried sticking to Vancouver's posted Bike Route system they could be humping some of the lumpiest ground the city has to offer while possibly getting lost or stranded.

Single speed riders, car-free moms and dads, cargo bikers, hard core commuters and ebikers with low batteries eventually learn a work around for the nasty pitches. Adding a motor to le Béte has taken distance off my usual journeys. I can use the same route, loaded or light.
Dead batteries or roadside smoke means I'm stomping my granny over a few bumps on the low road.
