someone handed me the suspect cell today. immediately i knew something was off:
the dot-matrix "E cv" obviously seems wrong.
black stripes near the + are narrow
"WARNING" isn't in BOLD. and the rest of the text are thinner
under-the-skin 2D code is very faint!
different + terminal.
BUT!!!
i graphed the discharge curves of the genuine NCR18650B and the suspect cell. other than the initial dip, the graphs are almost identical!!!
strange...
my best guess right now is that it may be a chinese panasonic but has been rewrapped "made in japan"
