Looks very comfortable.

Definitely more comfortable, notice how no one is required to have "sit bones" measured for recumbent and semi-recumbent seats!

Kinda makes me shake my head, I mean how silly would it be if you had to have a specially shaped seat for each person in the form of an office chair, or recliner?

I will warn you, once you go 'bent you're not going back!

A recumbent I built a bunch of years ago.

Nice!

Well,, unless you have crushed your back framing houses. I do much better on bikes where pedaling takes up half my weight, with only a portion of it supported by my ass.

For that reason, I don't ride very far on a bent, or a pedal forward bike. If they had good shocks it would be different, or at least long tail. A comfy seat that bashes my discs on every heat crack on the road is not comfy for me.

I have a nice semi recumbent, but until I lengthen it, its useless to me.

A guy on an upright came up to me when I was on my recumbent and asked: "How is your back?"

Fine! I said, how are your balls?

How do more aggressive recumbents work with an injured back in mind?
Is the almost laying-down angle enough? My reference point is my Challenge Jester.

I would prefer a headrest for comfort if going for long rides, but I never get a sore back or butt from it, even if it lacks suspension.
On the other hand, its hard for me to say since I didn't injure my back.

Update: I bought a used Day 6 today for $200 from a pawn shop.

A little rough but quite useable.

The ike is 10" longer than a 'stamdard' 26" bicycle.

My dream electric recumbent project commences today.
