Hi, this is probably trivial but I am new to it. I am having trouble opening my Bafang G311 front hub motor. Grin has a video for the G310 (rear hub). I was able to get the cap off so I can see the motor but the case is still on-- see attached image. I could continue with disassembly but in the video at this point they have the motor out of the case and mark the side so that it can be re-assembled with the same alignment.
Do I need to remove the motor from the spokes to do this? I was trying to avoid that... Or do I just need to apply a lot of pressure on the axle? Or maybe the G310 unlike the G311 doesn't come apart like that? Thanks!
