I really like the chargers that charge through the charge leads and have no buttons at all.
They fit well into my plan to make a "work and girlfriend safe", "plug and forget" batterypack.
Maybe naive, but I only have 10mW so that should not be a suprise to anybody

Recently they have started to appear with AC/DC included in the box.

Anyone tried them?

Here is the most interesting one I have found:

There are lots of them - most of them called something with "B3".

Just what we have been seaching for, an 8 hour charge for a 3s 5 ah pack.

Sarcasam aside, you do realize how slow that charger is. And you may have to seperate the 3s sections to use several chargers at a time if they are not isolated chargers.

A slightly better alternative could be a B6 AC charger. At least that charges at 50 watts. Near as I could figure, that B3 charges at 12 watts.

Could be the ideal tool though, for other uses. Charging a headlight battery for instance.

8 hours is not totaly useless. Many of us both work and sleep around 8 hours. Also the batteries seldom is empty when put to charge.
Of course it would be much better with a faster charger of simmilar simplicity. I bet there will be a big market for those. How much current would be safe to charge through ballance leads anyway? 2-3 amps?

If they did 6 or 7s packs, Id buy 4 and just charge me entire pack at once. I do work 8 hour days and the idea of a set and forget slow charge appeals.
