Verified, but more info to follow soon. Admitted to having a long-term drug addictions after becoming involved with singer Bobby Brown.

She died in a room on the 4th floor the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles, where she had been invited to a Clive Davis party (big music producer) for the Grammy music awards, which are tomorrow (Sunday 2/12/12).

There are no obvious signs of foul play or criminal activity.

I hope her will reads "I, Whitney Houston, being of a sound mind and body, hereby leave my limited-edition range of Stealth Bomber and Stealth Fighter bikes to The Mighty Volt, c/o Endless Sphere Forums, and award him £10,000 of Lithium, every month for life, and the unlimited use of my HobbyKing Charge Card".

Failing that, then as sorry as I feel for her...well...they shot people today in Syria, if you know what I mean.

RIP, in any case.

What about the large crack rocks that would have been scattered all over the hotel room nightstand?

I was happy to grant Whitney life after age 27 http://www.endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=36562&start=30

She did marry Bobby Brown, which might not have been quite like marrying Jordan and her big norks, it kept Bobby from producing anymore music which was a gift in itself.

People were taliking about it on the train today, one girl said "How old was she" another (innocently) replied "Oh, only about 65" I nearly fell over!!

Internet check, the first girl said "no, she was 48", nobody said any more.

Last time I looked at a picture of her, she looked as if she had been dead 2 years, and had been decomposing.... Geez hard drugs destroy the body. Sad really.

She was such a honey, even when she only looked 50.... about 15 years ago....

I just wonder who has the time or energy to stand around the hotel (where she's not anymore..she's in a hospital basement now, waiting for the coroner who probably doesn't want to work on a Sunday) and put out flowers, cry, hug, and sing. I always thought that kind of behavior was odd. If you knew and loved the person that would be one thing, but a complete stranger?

They do it every time: Princess Diana, Michael Jackson, John Lennon. People wail and cry for days over someone they probably never even met. Mass hysteria.

I understand people taking a moment to reflect or remember, and even pass by and drop a flower, but the news says people are gathered together singing, playing her music videos on smart phones, etc. Two days ago they probably weren't even thinking about her, and now that she's dead they are going nuts.

Weird.

Couldn't agree with you more Mike. I think the same thing everytime a high profile person dies. The irony is it is usually the case that the more washed up and forgotten the person was in lifetime, the more the people will outpour grief. Princess Di was a classic case in point. Whilst alive, most people recognised her for the manipulative, gold digging, moronic, dirt bag whore she was. But then suddenly when she died (whilst speeding recklessly through a high density city), everybody decided she was such an angel and "the peoples princess". Five minutes before her death she was a tramp that was shopping the royal goods to Dodi El Fayed (amongst anyone else who wanted some).

I suspect it is related to the phenomena that makes people want to believe in a god and an afterlife. It somehow assuages their insecurities about their own mortality to outpour grief for some person who is completely disconnected from the reality of their lives.

Hell is other people.

The lady di thing was rammed down our throats by the media in this country, people who never knew here were wailing at the side of the road for a woman they never met, the same people probably never went to their own grandmothers funerals :? , it is messed up how folks feel about celebs.

I feel sorry for WH though however some folks just do have this self destruct button.... and they press it, we have seen it so many times now it getting a little old to be honest, its a shame you cant be great without falling apart these days, I was never a WH fan but feel the most for her 18YO daughter, its tough esp when mummy was supposed to be on the road back, the sad irony is it may have been the return of the money and the whole social whirl that accelerated her problem.

One things for sure it will probably be a good career move for the record company as these things always are....please dont let I will always love you back on the radio though
