Hello I'm in need of some serious help I need to replace my controller on my ebike but my hall sensor has a Jst-SM connector and not the common one u see everywhere and I need help finding one for a 48volt 750 watt fat tire ebike. Would I just be able to rewire the sm plug with a normal hall sensor that's on majority of the controllers or what are my options here is a photo of my controller that needs replaced along with the individual plug and the part they controll thank you for your time

Options? There are many. First, if replacing the display you also have to buy a display that matches it,

There are controllers that have a 9 pin motor cable as well as JST's for the PAS, brakes, and throttle. If the 9 pin is too short to reach the motor, buy a short extension cable, Now the JST oinout and gender may bit nacth your old bike. You might have to solder.

You could also buy the controller/display with all JST plugs and the 2x3 Molex connector to the motor. Cut the old 5 pin JST connector off your old controller and solder it in place of the Molex. Just match color to color. The remaining white wire in the new controller will go to where it goes now ( external speed sensor?). Then hopefully, the JST's for the rest of handlebar items, as well as the PAS sensor will match/

Finally, if you want to upgrade your bike, buy a controller/display that has all waterproof connectors, 9 pin to the motor, and a 4n1 harbess to the handlebars. You also buy new brake levers and throttle with waterproof connectors, as well as a matching PAS sensor with a molded 3 pin connetcor. Most expensive approach, byt no soldering or connectors to swap. You still may nned a 9 pin extension,

Doubt you will ever find controllers that use the flat 5 pin and 6 pin JST plugs for the motor sensors. I've seen them on store bought ebikes. .

Okay so I could buy this kit and whatever doesn't match via connector I can just cut and solder by matching the colors and I'll be good to go?
