While I've been researching EV's for a while now, I just recently came across this awesome group, and would like to make a request (or 2) to make things easier on the likes of me.
First, one of my favorite e-communities (for New Orleans Jazz Fest) has an introduction page that allows new members to "break the ice" with the existing community. Would that be possible here :?:
Second, a dictionary of e-bike terinology (i.e. mosfets) would help us newbies de-mystify some things. And while I'm not an electronic tech, I am quite handy and mechanically inclined, so whenever you could put things in layman's terms so likeminded folks could understand it, it would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, I'm RevDon from New Orleans, (A flatter, more prefect plce for EV's would be hard to find), I enjoy the local music scene, fishing, and hope to turn EV's and solar power into my next business venture.

Nice to meet y'all!!

Hi Rev,

I can't comment on the greeting section, but I'll gladly say "welcome!" and point you at the EV Basics Section:

The glossary is still growing, so: MOSFET (see FET in the glossary).

:D

For pointing me in the right direction! MOS=Manufacturerer's Original Specs? Just guessing. Anyway, I've obviously got even more to learn, and this is the place.

Welcome RevDon.

Thanks for the feedback. There is a lot of room for improvement in the forum, but nobody has enough free time to fix everything.

Don't be afraid to ask questions that might be answered already somewhere. We're all here to learn and have a little fun.

Flat... how would that be... I'm jealous. I've lost track of how many motors I've burned out on the hills around here.
