Since I have a few spare 10 Series 3.3v Lifp04 cells Dewalt 36v and I want to use some new 3.7 V lion cells that need to charge up to 4.2v each.
Can I spoof the BMS, by using 9 cells only and then somehow altering the BMS wires to let the voltage to go above 3.6v per cells ?
The BMS currently tops out at 36v i.e 3.6v per cell. But I need the cells to charge to 4.1 or 4.2v to get full Capacity with the new Lion cells. Hence why I can remove 1 cell and make it 9 series.
Is their a way to fool the BMS wires though ? i.e maybe put the spare sense wire onto another cell ? so 1 cell has 2 sense wires and hence a voltage.
Then the only problem is maybe the BMS will cutout when the cells get to 3.6v ? or will it only cutout when the whole pack gets to 36v before it looks at the BMS wires max voltage?
