Hi Guys,
I am soon to be building my first ebike. Would like to know anybody's recommendation on the best way to mount their batteries so that they can be easily removed for charging at work and taken in for security purposes. Of course they still need to be secure while riding.
Thanks

If you have them in a battery bag on a rear bike rack they should be very easy to remove or secure.

How big are the batteries you're planning on using?

Hi Bill,
They are going to be 48v of either NiMHs or Lithiums. I am not sure how big those are but, from pictures I've seen, I think they will fit on my rear rack.
Thanks.

This depends on the bike frame in question.. but.. generally.. the lower the better.

Side saddlebags are the best i've tried so far if you don't mind the commuter look.

Get 2 x 24v packs if you can, one for each side of the bike.

Mounting inside the Triangle of the frame is great for looks, but can be a challenge.
