Neat idea, but I really wonder how useful that solar panel will be.

60v, 15ah is 900Wh. Those solar panels are 15W. Assuming 100% charging efficiency, it'll take 60 solid hours of direct sunlight at peak efficiency to charge the thing up. That's ideal best-case scenario though. I'll bet in reality it's more like a month to charge the thing, only to get an hour and a half ride out of it.

So, when they say "free to charge" and make a big deal of the solar panel, well that's being just a little bit disingenious here. The solar panel is lip service and not actually useful in any way.
 
@inedible, I totally agree. Also this is not the first time ( insert retailer here ) (dont feel like being sued ) has misrepresented optional solar panels for their bikes. ( in my opinion ) :lol:
