If done correctly, inflatable tails would improve aerodynamics; the poofy arm stuff not so much.

The bicycle was perfected with the Schwinn Racer two-speed kickback.

:) That inflatable hood thingee design by "artist" Jessica Findley? They ONLY "inflate" by being 100% aero drag. Almost never a plus... unless you include parachutes.

My definition of "perfected" these days include words like "recumbent" and "velomobile". Stuff that's more aerodynamic. ;)
 
beautiful and perfect are certainly two different things, and that depends on who you ask as well

Hehe... Perhaps the engineer in me... where "beautiful" means energy efficient, or "economic". In the human animal species, "sexy" = "big brain".
