If done correctly, inflatable tails would improve aerodynamics; the poofy arm stuff not so much.

The bicycle was perfected with the Schwinn Racer two-speed kickback.

That inflatable hood thingee design by "artist" Jessica Findley? They ONLY "inflate" by being 100% aero drag. Almost never a plus... unless you include parachutes.

My definition of "perfected" these days include words like "recumbent" and "velomobile". Stuff that's more aerodynamic.
