So why are all the Re
lanet recycling locations closed? Are they just in California, or do you have one in a grocery store parking lot near you?
So yesterday the guy in one by me was telling me that a supervisor was at his location Friday when the guy got a call about this Saturday meeting. Sounded ominous to the both of them.
Since this guy is a 'Floater,' one of the trouble shooters they'll send to fill in and solve problems, he was getting calls about why they had a wire deposit of a half check midway through the pay period. He had no idea. Then the supervisors started showing up at the pay sites, where the attendant gives out cash instead of sending people into stores to cash their ticket, and simply taking the cash while the line of customers are getting a little upset. All the locations were called and told to close.
And today even the noncash sites remain closed. It's no secret the state of California wants to drive the recycling centers out of business so they can just keep the over $1 billion a year in CRV money. Have they succeeded with the biggest?
