Was really sad to see this yesterday :( I have been following this guy on you tube for a couple of years, he has the second biggest motorcycle video blogging site on youtube and his videos were brilliant and very entertaining, he did product reviews on all manner of things including helmet cams and other stuff, and he made some of the most fun off road motorcycling POV vids that I have seen.

Sadly I found out that he died in a house fire on the 4th of Feb, I think that he had been having problems with his marriage and the usual issue with access to his kids may have tipped him over the edge? the even sadder thing is that he lived only 1/2 a mile away from Jozzer here in the UK (I would have popped in to meet him if I knew :( ) , I don't know if Jozzer knew him? but I am sure they must have crossed tracks on the roads around Peacehaven.

Just posting it as a mark of respect and to encourage folks to go and have a look at some of his videos, they really make you want to go out and ride and have fun, a very sad day for the motorcycling world and of course even worse for his Family and close Friends.

RIP Steve AKA Svengalie

swapped emails and jokes with him a few times, and its odd how when i heard this the other week it really bothered me, and thats something i dont say lightly as i'm an uncaring cold hearted <insert expletive> <more of same> , but just the fact I had emailed him and chatted and watched his videos, it made all the difference that it being 'some guy in the papers' or some random 'famous' person.

RIP Steve, gonna miss you m8.

That is a shame, you will be missed Steve.

But now you're going to have more amazing riding, and no clumsy body to get hurt. I hope you were free enough in your mind to embrace the experience of death when it came, seems like a shame to miss-out on that amazing trip you only get to take once.

Yes its put a real downer on me this has :( he was by all accounts really put through the ringer, from his videos he always seemed really positive and one of his catch phrases was "dont worry I can take it..I am a big boy" he never deleted any comments from his videos even the worst trolls he let vent on there as he thought they had a right to say what they wanted no matter how bad, I liked that attitude in him.

Feel the most sorry for his kids and his parents though I cant imagine how they must feel :( its a shame he couldnt have focussed on them and how they are going to be scarred forever by it, still your mind clearly isnt right if you decide to do what Steve did, there have been quite a few cases here in the UK recently where they have taken the house and the kids with them, small mercy I suppose, you have only got to google svengalie on youtube or check this link of 9 pages on the bike forums to see the reaction to his passing.

His funeral is actually going to be broadcast on the internet live, I dont know the details but its going to be in the next few days.
