Toronto Cyclists say Ebikes are not safe!

Ebikes are not allowed in the bike lanes on multi-use paths in Toronto.

This is a few minutes of a 1 hour ride in to Toronto. You see cyclists running red lights swerving around pedestrians and speeding on the multi-use trails. Then when I cannot legally ride in the bike lane with my Electric Bicycle car drivers are blasting their horn at me!

You have to see what is going on in Toronto. We need your help!

Please watch this video "like" it and forward it to your friends, family, everyone!

Most importantly, please leave your comments on the YouTube page.

This video will be distributed to city officials your comments will be helpful.

This is strange. I mean, Canada is seen here, and i think globally too, as a quite liberal country. After two months of pretty intensive e-biking i have received one negative comment. One guy looked my motor and shouted: "BORING!". Why ban anything from bike lanes if there is a official speed limit? Hazy logic. Here gas scooters are allowed to ride on many MUT"s, and man, do they go fast. Our e-bikes top speed is around the average speed of a sport cyclist. Here nobody, and i do mean nobody walks against the red light, but many cyclists seem to ride against the red light, and nodody comments. It is funny paradox that it seems that e-bikes are most regulated in those countries that are considered most liberal western countries, like UK, Canada. Is this because of there is lots of e-bikes? Here we have soooo few e-bikes that people just don"t care basically. We have more tandems or trikes than e-bikes.
When as a European i use word "liberal", it is not a political term. It means more like an attitude.

Great video. I am saving it for the time when I need to defend ebikes where I live.

There is nothing worse than being in the middle, 'trapped between the wood and the bark'
The Ebike has to be illegal to be safe. I ride the streets and leave the cars far behind, that is the way to go.
