Hi all,
I wanted all UK Electric Vehicle followers, here on Endless-sphere, to learn about a relatively unpublicised UK Government Grant which UK home owners are entitled to. I work for POD Point (http://www.pod-point.com), a UK manufacturer of electric vehicle charging points and for obvious reasons wish to see more people claiming this grant and helping kickstart the mass uptake of EV's in the UK.
UK citizens can benefit from OLEV's (Office for Low Emission Vehicles) Home Charging Grant and are therefore eligible for a FREE POD Point 3.6kW Solo 2 home charge unit, with FREE INSTALLATION.
To install the home charge unit your house is required to have a suitable off road location for the unit, which is within a reasonable distance to your electricity distribution board. There must also be adequate existing electrical capacity. There are a finite number of units available and these will be assigned on a first come first served basis. As a reminder there is absolutely no initial, nor on-going cost and all that is required is your agreement to keep the unit for three years.
There is no need for the home owner to currently own a plug in electric vehicle. I have uploaded a PDF information flyer to my post, which outlines the grant in more detail.View attachment POD PointHome_GrantInfo_FlyerV2.pdf
If anyone has any outstanding queries concerning this grant and claiming your free charge unit please email me at charlie.harbage@pod-point.com or ring me on 0207 247 4114.
