Use tool dip plastic coating as cell end insulator?

I just built a Headway battery pack. I'm considering brushing the cell ends with tool dip, i.e. Plastidip rubberized coating on the cell ends to act as an insulator, in case any of my various bolts or screws rattle loose. This would help minimize any risk of shorts. Would this be a bad idea? I know one end of the Headway cell has a protective vent. I would make sure that I don't completely seal off that vent.

ES forum member goatman has experimented prodigiously with plasti-dip as cell insulator. Look for his battery technology threads.

Plasti-dip covering the blow-off vent probably will not impede its function-- it is not a strong enough seal.

Thanks, good to know. I'll search his threads and learn from his experience.
