Public bike share system

In February 2016, we selected the future owner and operator of a public bike share system for Vancouver. Vancouver’s public bike share program—Mobi, bikes we share—will launch in summer 2016.

With bicycles located across the network at secure, easy-to-use docking stations, they offer a convenient, comfortable, flexible, and affordable way to get around.

Nearly 1,000 cities around the world, including Montreal, New York City, Boston, and Seattle have started public bike shares.

I've heard that very, very few people ride bikes in "Rain-couver" BC, Canada.

There is a Made-In-Vancouver bike sharing startup with a covered trike, that apparently didn't get selected:

What's your opinion?
From the Veemo's news page, looks like they quit in March, after the City of Vancouver selected the Moby in February.

Should the Veemo-Velometro been funded by a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign?

Iirc UBC requires a parking stall for a Veemo. Heard that SFU requires parking tags for 2-wheeled electric scooters.

The escooters seem to be taxed indirectly -- not consistent with statutes, or "ultra vires" imo. I would take these universities to court, if I was a student there.
