It looks cool; would be fun to drive. Did anyone else see the article in the recent Popular Science about the guy building the Lithium Hawk? Similar idea. I have been following him on the web for a long time.

In both cases, these will be motorcycles in the US. There are some pretty interesting laws in this case. For example, some states will not let you separate the headlights like they are on the car in the video on a "motorcycle" and if it has three wheels, it is a motorcycle. The driver will be subject to helmet laws. As long as you are building a motorcycle, you still have a lot of latitude as long as you wear a helmet. As soon as you add that fourth wheel, you have a car and then the real fun starts with DOT. There are a lot of interesting and cool concepts out there but in the US, we can't put many of them on the road.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, ebikes are in a sweet-spot. When you try to solve any of the "problems" to make them more versatile, you run into a legal issue. I hope they stay where they are in relation to the law. Basically, you are (mostly) invisible to "the man" as long as you keep it sane. No registration fees, parking passes, can ride on greenways, etc.
