I bought a Sunseeker Fat Tad with a Bafang Ultra on it for a winter commuter this past November; I've been riding it to and from work in a variety of weather (including light snow and in the aftermath of heavy snowfall). I run two 14S7P packs in parallel in Hailong Mega Shark cases (my commute is about 11 miles one way), and last night I noticed that one of my packs was almost empty while the other one was mostly full. I chalked it up to randomness, and rode the trike in today only to find that one of the packs was dead entirely (not charging, not discharging) and there was some corrosion on the charge and discharge terminals. I pulled the pack apart and found that the cell wrapping paper was rather wet (and furthermore that there was condensation on the BMS board). I currently have the cover off and am leaving the battery to dry out; what do you think the chances are that I'll be able to put this pack back into service once it dries out (or just replace the BMS) as opposed to having to throw it away? If I'd realized this was an issue I would have put waterproof sealant on the pack seam.
