Hey guys,
i wanted to build an e bike for my brother. We found this cheap auction on ebay, but we will only use the motor if it is good.
Does anybody know what kind of motor this is? For sure more than 250W I guess.
Its rated for 25Kmh on 36V we plan to run it on 48V with 4110 controller.
My first thought was its an 9C 2810, could that be?
Heres a picture of the motor:

Looks like the newer model Goldenmotor clone. If that part number on it is HBS 48V1000Wxxserial numberxx, then that's what it is. I've had the older model for over 4 years and ~15K miles. It's as good as any in it's class.

If it goes 25 kph on 36v, then that looks like the slow winding motor. 2810, 2809, not slow enough to be a 2812.

Go for it, if you want 30 kph, run it on 48v, up to 40 amps. 2000w won't faze it.

With some slight risk, run it on 72v 40 amps, for a really fun ride off road.

Or, also a good motor for a moderately heavy load on 48v 20 amps. Cargo bike, trike, tandem, pulling trailers etc. I just pulled a trailer loaded with 40 pounds of water to the top of a large mountain with essentially the same motor. 48v 22 amps controller. A seven mile long hill, with two miles of 6% grade at the end. Me, the bike, the loaded trailer was 345 pounds.

Personally, I love these low rpm motors for certain tasks. But a 3000w motor will do those really heavy duty tasks a lot better. More (wider) magnet always works best. But that motor will do a lot for you without overheating, if you feed it 2000w.

Thank you very much MadRhino, wesnewell and dogman dan you really helped me. I will order the motor tomorrow and will make a small review once got it. And compare it to my 2810.
