I has just bought a YADEA YS500 Ebike with Mid Frame FUSION Motor. Model No.01YCJ36V350WZA2L900650W. Dispay LD-W750-CAN. It is speed limited to 25km/hr. For use on private roads, how can I remove this limit?

Off the shelf 500w ebikes are made for 25 mph. Their controller and display are set for legal limits. Those that can be unlocked usually have an advanced parameters menu that requires a password from the manufacturer or dealer. Those that don’t have this option need to be tricked, most of the time replacing controller and display. Then, it won’t give much more power and speed unless you replace the battery, or rebuild it bigger. If you replace the controller with one that is more powerful, it is likely to exceed the power capacity of the original battery.

This is how I trim or "bypass" limit on my bike, yadea- fusion-f335 :

1. detach the cadence sensor that is located at the rear wheel , the black box with a cable attached to it.
2. attach the cadence sensor upside down with the outside of the box facing away from the wheel between the two small bumps on the underside of the frame
3. glue or tape the magnet, at the end of your pedal bar, or if you have a flat strong magnet you can just stick it on the inside of the bar where the pedal is attached to.

this will trick the motor and the speed shown on your monitor will always be around 7km/h , but the bike engine will keep on working way past 25km/h , im not sure how fast you can go but i have reached at least 40km/h+ and could probably go faster.
