Power connectors

Type Photo Description Current Rating
XT60 image
The gold standard for power connectors in the medium power range. Comes in both XT60 and XT60H variants. XT60H (pictured) includes a cap to remove the need for heatshrink. 60A continuous
XT90 XT90-S Anti Spark Connector XT90-S Anti ...
Same as XT90 but larger, standard for high power builds. As well as the cap/non-cap variants, it comes with and without an antispark built into the female connector. The antispark (XT90S) version is recommended. 90A continuous
QS8 QS8-S connector (1 pair) | Rotorama
Even larger than XT90, comes with antispark by default. 110A
QS10 QS10 Anti-sparking Male Female Li-po Battery Plugs Connector High Current
The larger version of the QS8, QS10s are gigantic and useful for insanely powerful builds. The most common version also has 4 small connectors along with the two power connections. 180A
Anderson PowerPole Anderson Power ASMPP30-1X2-RK POWERPOLE® 15-45 Ultrasonically Bonded Connector - 12 Volt Power
Like XT150, Anderson PowerPoles are a modular solution that can be used for both power and phase. Unlike most connectors, they use crimped connections so are fast to attach to wires if one has the right tool. They are also genderless, meaning that any connector plugs into any other one without having male/female. Mainly useful for low power builds as the highest they normally come in is 75A, and the 45A version is more common. 120A and 180A versions are theoretically available but hard to find.  45A/75A
Anderson SB series 120A-600V Battery Quick Connect/Disconnect with 2/4/6 AWG, 2 PCS Jumper Cable Plug Connector, Compatible with Anderson Con...
Same as PowerPole but comes permanently molded in two-plug groups. Useful for battery connections where you would rather crimp than solder. 50/120/175/350A

Phase connectors

Type Photo Description Current Rating
Ring terminals 14 AWG #8 - 10 Stud Size Ring Terminals ...
The connector that comes by default on most kits and motors, ring terminals are simple and quick to attach, but are bulky, not streamlined, require some sort of insulation/separation, and are a hassle to connect/disconnect. Varies
Bullet connectors RC Model Motor - Bullet Connector, 2mm ...
Borrowed from the RC world, bullet connectors are a simple, no-frills solution to connect phase lines in any order you want. They come in many sizes, ranging from low to medium-high current. For an upgraded, higher-current version, see XT150. Varies
MT60 Amass MT60 connector (1 pair) | Rotorama
The 3-pin sibling to the XT60, the MT60 is a versatile phase connector that is extremely convenient for connecting and disconnecting a motor. The downsides are that soldering is harder since the pins are close together and that the order of the phase wires cannot be changed once attached. 60A
MR60 Amass MR60 ESC Connector with ...
Same as MT60 but pins are in a straight line. May allow for easier soldering. 60A
XT150 RJX 1pcs XT150 Male to Female Extension ...
XT150s are a large bullet connector with a housing, great for high power builds or if you have larger wire. Unlike plain bullet connectors, XT150s have a plastic housing that allows for connection of multiple plugs, so you can have one connector with as many pins as needed. 150A
Anderson PowerPole Anderson Power ASMPP30-1X2-RK POWERPOLE® 15-45 Ultrasonically Bonded Connector - 12 Volt Power
