My Ebike Android App (supports Cycle Analyst)

I've just moved the current build 1.2 into full release meaning the app is now available for anyone to purchase at the Google Play store. Thank you for your feedback in the beta so far - I will hopefully be getting a new beta release out soon. Please continue to send me any bugs you find.

My Ebike Android App (supports Cycle Analyst)

Sorry guys for the lack of responses lately - I have been busy with work stuff. I'll get back to working on the app in the next couple of months. I also have to decide whether to bother onctinuing to design my own cell monitoring hardware or just support other BMS like the TinyBMS etc.

Panasonic NCR18650B 2.7kWhr pack for my Stealth Bomber

The pack is going great. The discharge profile still follows the 0.2C curve from Pansonic. There has been no detectable loss in capacity. I'm currently building a 'booster' pack out of the same cells - this will be 16S5P and only paralleled with the main pack on trips that require it. It will be...

    LightningRods mid drive kit

What about a Rohloff on the rear? I see others are already using with this kit- what is the maximum power/torque limit recommended on it ?

The compact SUPERCHARGER for E-bike !

Almost double the energy density of my RSP-2000. I wonder how much louder the fans are at the same load? Also wonder if it is as easy to make the current limiting adjustable.

Hyena's e-bike builds (now with HD video)

Good to see you're finally going for a man-sized battery :D Now you can join me on some 100km+ rides! Reminder that MCA superstore down at Taren Point will fit those tyres for $20 (they've now done 2 for me - our axles fit on their machine).

    E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Rix - I'm guessing you mean 200 watts not 200 watt hours ? I just fitted my 17" x 2.5" SR241 to the rear. It replaced a really knobby tyre (much fewer more spaced out knobbs than SR241). The SR241 weighs 2.8kg - 500g heavier than the tyre it replaced. I thought the energy loos from the extra...

    Aussie 200 Watt Limit Thread

Man we need some bike friendly gates with that step through in NSW parks! Much easier than lifting the 58kg bomber over!

Hyena's e-bike builds (now with HD video)

Firstly I should say that I am still a relative newbie to ebikes having only been riding now for 2 years, and before that I had zero mountain or dirt bike experience. I rode Jay's Raptor the other day off road and the thing has unbelievable power and acceleration! As you said Jay in a previous...

My Ebike Android App (supports Cycle Analyst)

Finally got around to finishing the next beta version of the app. Beta testers should receive the usual notification through Google Play that there is an updated version 1.1 to download. This version fully enables GPS tracking and logging. There is a preference setting now that can set the GPS...

    E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

For those who have had the side panel screws getting loose on their Stealth bike and have been tempted to put fresh medium Loktite on them - DONT! My Bomber's screws started getting loose and I noticed Stealth had loktite on them (Stealth has confirmed they do this at the factory). So I put...

    high enegy density battries

My pack works out at 235Wh/kg using NCR18650B including the cell spacing, packaging etc: http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=61604 This is about as high as you can go right now. Note this cell is ONLY suited to large parallel designs (14P+) and cannot be fast charged.

My Ebike Android App (supports Cycle Analyst)

Actually - looking at this today -it's not as easy as first thought. The problem with ending the gauge at whatever number the max power works out to be means that you end up with divisional numbers on the gauge that are strange looking eg if your max power is 4700W then 5 division on the gauge...

Yes it's in the next beta build.

My Stealth Bomber - now with 130km range

The battery cost just under $AU3000, but that is also higher due to the fact that I paid a professional battery supplier to do the spot welding. Sorry, I think building this once was enough for me. It would not be viable to ship a battery this size from Australia anyway.

Hyena's e-bike builds (now with HD video)

Sorry to hear the news from the docs - but as others have said this accident probably saved you from doing a lot more damage. At least this means I might be able to keep up with you now riding the local tracks :D

My Ebike Android App (supports Cycle Analyst)

Full GPS support is now done with kml file export to Google Earth. Just waiting for some finer weather to test it fully before I post a new beta.

Hyena's e-bike builds (now with HD video)

Interesting pic of the stators from those motors Jay. Apart from the better heatsinking ability of the TC its also a lot to do with just how efficient those TC motors are compared to the rest - as per the ebikes.ca simulator. That rattling sound from my Sony Actioncam in the video is a design...

Sabvoton SVMC072150 controller review, variable regen *PICS*

Has it been determined if this controller does boost conversion in slip regen? Also what about a built in battery-side shunt with connection for CA compatability?

    E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

When I read this I knew exactly where you were going Villain. After having my VBoxx serviced recently I found my swingarm was not velvet smooth either! Initially I found that the previous owner must have over-tightened the swingarm pivot bolts which had deformed the swingarm pivot clamp causing...

Hyena's e-bike builds (now with HD video)

Sorry to hear about your crash - hope the pain eases quickly! If you do ever find a dyno around here that can work with our bikes let me know - I'll happily share some of the cost for a visit.
