Thank you for the links. Can't find replacement buttons on http://www.ebikes.ca/ site, guess I'll email and see if the still sell them.
As to whether my CA has ever been wet, it has. Which in my opinion is a given considering cycling is an outdoors activity. The buttons have however never been...
My cycle analyst 2.3 has stopped responding to button pushes. Few weeks back i noticed upon riding of in the morning that the display was cycling thru the menus as if i was pushing the left most of the 2 buttons repeatedly. I was in a hurry and didn't think much of it and just continued my...
I have searched, high and low. Can't find anyone modding a unit with the same circuit board. My intention was doing what's been done and proven. Getting this bastard of a unit was just a careless mistake on my part. Without modification its pushing 9 amps at 48.5V. I don't think it would survive...
Hello. Bought a PSU with the intent of doing the modifications in this link:
http://www.recumbents.com/wisil/e-bent/meanwell/default.htm
However i didn't pay close enough attention and managed to buy a slightly different model. Namely the "S360-48" instead of "S350-48". I'm still looking to do...
If the fast remark is regarding the shipping speed I agree, your probably right. Other than that I haven't addressed speed. But now that its brought up, 45-50km/h is my ideal speed.
Ps thanks for wishing me good luck, i recon I'm way overdue for some luck in the ebike field!
Caught me posting, Thanks for the red flag. Think i saw 3-5 day shipping stated on their site, not that it would be the first time a vendor is sketchy on delivery dates.
I agree with all you've said Punx0r, just want to clarify, in case my first post was unclear. I'm not set on either of the two, their just the best deal i found so far. All suggestions are welcome and sought after!
Hello guy, I've gotten myself in a pinch, In two weeks I will begin commuting longer than i care to pedal. And the pinch? Well my current setup is all bogged down and i need a replacement.
The objective: I need to score a new motor!
Conditions:
-Must be at my doorstep in less than 2 week...
Hello all. I changed the phase wires on a MAC 8t but foolishly dident mark them, so now i don't know which phase wire is which. What is the easiest way to determine which phase is which? so i can connect it properly to my controller.
Thank you! I tried using the grin simulator earlier today, but messed up when entering the battery internal resistant. Couldn't get it to plot anything. Your elaborate example cleared that right up. Much appreciate the effort you put in to helping!
Hijacking is hereby over!
That's understandable, how about a request?
System A: 26" wheel, 12s Lipo, Limited to 35A
System B: 24" wheel, 12s Lipo, Limited to 35A
System C: 24" wheel, 18s Lipo, Limited to 25A
Sorry about the hijacking!
Thank you for your input, i do understand the benefit of a lower rotational due to the limited power spectrum of my motor. However i don't want to change my front wheel aswell, mainly due to cost. Since my front is a 26" running crazy bob's from Schwalbe its a rather tall tire. And i fear the...
Hello. Just went thru the thread. The pictures are very help full when judging size, thank you all for them. I am contemplating going from a 26" crazy bob to a 19" MC wheel. In all honesty I'm not that happy about going to a smaller size, but space constraints are forcing my hand. The wheel is...
@ Architectonic I didn't mean to say "Don't drill out the sheared keyway" just, do so with caution!
I was sloppy, assuming that I'd notice when I was thru the keyway and hitting the presumably a lot harder hardened axle material. As they say, assumption is the mother of all fuckups...
If someone else has this happen, don't be as stupid as me getting the sheared keyway out. i drilled it out, and effectively drilled straight thru the bottom of the keywayslot and right into the wire chamber.
Pictures of carnage:
Hopefully sharing my my immense stupidity will save...
Couldn't get it out of my head so had a look despite not really having the time to spend... Your analysis was spot on, keyway had sheared and was now promptly ground flat enough to spin round the axle.

Keyway that was sheard of:
Your keyway situation sounds like what I've got going. Had it slipping before some weeks ago, then all of a sudden slippage was gone. But now its all slippage an no fun, guess the keyway may have given up entirely. Guess I'll disassemble and have a look when time allows. Thanks for the input.
Video of my mac's innards. Wheel stationary but gears and magbowl still turning, cant be a good sign. Haven't investigated further yet. Time is sparse... Real bummer tbh, i am/was dependent on it for transport.
Mac Slipping
Cant get it to imbed, not sure why.
Babying it wont be an option for me, I'll have look at what's going on with mine and comment here once i have some info, might be a few days though.
PS I've got a 8t MAC
