Motor not running, very small torque

I had some advice from Paul testing the battery, but it's obvious to me now that this is not at fault. Switching the colored wires with each other gives a noisy rotation (at least a rotation compared when i follow the color code). What is odd is that there is a 6 'pin' connector from the motor...

Motor not running, very small torque

Weird, switching them makes the wheel indeed spin (although slowly: switched the blue and yellow one). Gonna mount it back on my bike this afternoon and check it completely.

Motor not running, very small torque

Hmm as the motor and controller are bought together, the paper said it is color matching (red yellow and blue) so i just connected the wires of the same color together. Anyone else think that this might be a problem? The problem is that it's not noisy just in the beginning like a mini sound(will...

    Wheelchair with Handcycle

I imagine the Lipo's are better? deciding between those two for a 500W motor, objective is max range...

    Wheelchair with Handcycle

Concerning lunacycle's batterys i have some questions: i see there are in total 3 different 48V 20Ah batteries. The only difference is the weight and dimensions as I see it. Are there any major differences other than that for...

    Sebastian from Stuttgart / Germany

I don't know about Germany but here if you go above 25kph with a pedelec you need a moped licence plate and insurance. Don't know if the police would really look at it but if they stop you or if you have an accident you need the insurance. If they catch you driving without a licence plate (which...

    Bike insurance

Yes, that's where i found the German member. Problem specific for me is that I need a 'paper' (gelijkwaardigheidsattest in dutch) which i need for the insurance. No paper (if i build it myself = no insurance = no licence plate). Its really an insurance like a car if I cause an accident, not for...

    Bike insurance

Hi all, I want to build a bike myself for my commpute (40kph). Problem: you need a moped licence plate if you have/build a pedelec which goes max 45kph with a motor above 500W. With this you also need an insurance. To get an insurance you need a certificate of the constructor. My question: do...

    EM3 EV

So you'll mean on a 24mm my 1.75 inch tire will be fine if i understand you correctly? Thanks
  19. P

    EM3 EV

Ok, i'm getting confused now, is the rim not the same size as the tire itself then (because of the inflation of the tire). I haven't measured the rim in any way, just assumed this was the same as the tire, but if i think about it now it doesn't seen to be logic. I guess the rim is (alot) less...

    EM3 EV

Hi all, I have some technical questions concerning a product from eM3 EV http://em3ev.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=36&product_id=56 There, i see DM18 CNC and DM24 CNC. What is the difference between them? They're both 20" (one i'm looking for), but whats the difference between...

    Am I asking too much?

Well The netherlands are pretty flat so no hills here (or max a bridge or something). Will research this further. Thanks anyways!

    Am I asking too much?

Thanks for all the answers. If i consider building a bike from scratch (so selling the one i have now), how much would cost me this? Let's say, that if I'm building from scratch a speed of 40kmh is a requirement, so it takes me one hour to get to where i need to get (all flat road). I'm...
