Dear All.
I am working on a project to develop a controller for 5kW ACIM Motor for Electric Vehicle. Its with its original controller but I need to develop my own controller. After opening original controller, I found a 100 pinIC which I suppose TMS320F2803x means it has field oriented control as it has feedback and current sensing on 2 phases. The mosfet part is usual having 8 mosfets in parallel for each phase (image attached)
So far I was using TIDA-00364 (https://www.ti.com/tool/TIDA-00364) reference design for driver part and somewhat succeeded in operating the motor but I believe it is not very robust as it has only scalar (V/F) control and no on board protection. To drive the motor I have used MC3PHAC IC as I don't have in depth knowledge of FOC but I have basic knowledge of inverter working.
So, I am looking for some robust solution to drive the motor, nameplate is attached.
