Hi all. Back to the game after a few years and looking for a 48V battery for a MAC 7T motor. I previously put together those 6s radiocontrol model batteries (Lipo), but never felt safe handling them, charging them, etc. I had a few start to balloon, and I realized that they just were not for me. Now that I am getting back into it, I want a safe battery that fits these criteria:
1. 48V. I dont need a lot of Ah (10? 15?) as I dont go far or ride often.
2. Something that I can hopefully just plug a charger into a 120V receptacle and dont have to take apart the battery or worry about manually balancing cells, etc.
3. Safeguards like overcurrent protection, etc. would be good. I like the key on/off as well.
It looks like LiFePO4 may be the way to go? A123? Any recommendations of where to buy from in USA?
Thanks yall. I learn alot just lurking.
