on the FAQ page it says 899 USD, which isnt bad compared to other offerings. I am very skeptical about the range. It looks like they are using an 8S lipo pack, which makes me a little nervous to begin with, but then you take into account the fact that the pack is only 2000mAh? Something isnt right there. There also seems to be a mismatch of information throughout the site. In one place the range is claimed to be 40km (24.8mi) in another place the range is claimed to be 35km (21.7), and then in the videos it is claimed to be 25 miles (closer to 40 km).
They dont talk about their battery technology which further convinces me that they are not using LFP. (it seems like everyone who uses LFP likes to promote that fact pretty heavily). Where things get confusing is where they say 500+ cycles, which is realistically in-between LFP lifespan and typical lipo lifespan.
13 mph seems a little on the slow side, and I think people will be bumping up against that limit frequently. Rule of thumb for vehicle top speed is that you want 20% headroom above the speed at which 95% would consider the fastest they feel comfortable going. (I worked at BMW for a little). Honestly I think 20 mph is the sweet spot for these things.
Whether they increase the battery for power, or for range, they are using an awefully small portion of real-estate under that board. For a 10" wide deck, it would be nice to see that space used .
And to be honest, you still cant click 'add to cart' lol. Still vaporware. Closer to reality, but still vaporware.
Im 60% excited, 40% disappointed.
