Hello fellow ES'ers.
I have a YZF600R conversion up and running. I am experiencing poor acceleration from a standing start and I am after some advice on how to improve it. Pulling out into traffic is a bit dangerous so I have to to wait for a big gap. My specs and settings are given below.

74V nominal, 80V peak, 70Ah lithium ion polymer 20 to 30C
ME0913 motor
Kelly KHB72601 controller
15T front sprocket
47T rear sprocket

Controller settings:-
Max motor current 62% (372A)
Max battery current 100%
Torque mode
Throttle rate fast
Throttle starting position 20%
Throttle ending position 60%
Top speed 60 mph

Do these settings look okay

Options:-
1. Change the rear sprocket to 60T
2. Change controller and motor to Sevcon Gen4 Size 6 660A and DLC28
3. Reconfigure battery pack to higher voltage with up rated Kelly Controller

The bike is used for commuting a 50 mile round trip on flat A roads with a maximum speed of 60 mph. I can top up the charge at work and top up again at home.

I would be interested in all comments

Has the vehicle ever worked as expected?

Or is it doing the same thing it always has?

What actual current does the motor pull during the problematic startup?

What voltage does the pack sag to during the problematic startup?

Do any of teh individual cells or cell groups sag more than others under load?

As for the changes...if your top speed is already 60MPH, and you need it to stay that fast, then if you change just the sprocket for better startup torque, then you'll also reduce your top speed proportionally.

If you reconfigure the pack for higher voltage, you also lower it's abilty to provide current for the startup torque. (meaning, it will sag more).

Might be that none of that will matter, but thought I'd bring it up in case it does.
