This is for my bomber wanna-be bike. Just showing the battery for all its 45 amps of beauty! Naked Battery porn is the best!

How are you fitting that, My guess is the big blocks go on top of each other and the narrow block on top of that for the narrower part? The opening on the Bomber is 165mm tall, but there more space available is the pack is narrower.

Rick,

I don’t have a Bomber so I have room galore.....good guess! I make them in 8s15p so in case I need to charge off the bike I can charge with my hobby chargers. They will balance charge 8s up to 8 amps and in the winter I can put the packs into storage charge.

Seems like a good choice!

Anyone know what the "moto style" seat option looks like?

Anyone seen this style in general used as the front-end for an extended cargo bike with a rear rack? Or pulling a trailer?

Anyone used a charger like this?

I need a new charger for my bomber. Any suggestions?

Looks like a poorman's version of the Grin Satiator, and I have and love that charger. If you try it, let us know what you think and how you like it.

This is just plain gnarly Tom. I like it, got a build thread for it?

Unfortunately I am a poorman at the moment being out of a job due to the Corona virus. My only sanity was taking the stealth out each day and now without a charger I can’t do that anymore. Just need something to get up and going for now. I have over 9 different high powered electric toys so the satiatior should have been a top priority for me.

Had a great ride today, maintained my social distancing in spades. Like miles in any direction at times. Was truly a great ride and great day.

I hear you, had my hours cut at work, been an adjustment, still have a job and am very grateful. If you Bomber is pre 2014 with the 24s Lifepo4 18Ah battery, I got a charger that I will give you. HVC shuts off at 86.4v.

Wow, that’s very generous but I’m in Australia. Might be too difficult. Thank you so much for the offer. My bomber is from 2012 with the 18Ah battery.

So is my Bomber, I have #143, what number do you have?

Sorry if I missed it, what cells, how many in series, what is the xPyS layout, total Ah

is it OK if it takes overnight, or do you need fast charging

and finally what is your tolerance for electrickery tinkering (electrinkering?)

I don’t know what cells. I think it’s just the original standard 18Ah battery from stealth.

I don’t mind charge time. Was hoping for something around 5Ah.

I would say my tolerance is beginner-intermediate. I love tinkering with my toys but more so in the tear down and re-build aspect. Electrinkering is my weakest point.

Current project.

Damn Rix!! That must be a collector’s stealth at #143. My bomber is #274

They are the older lithium Phosphate pouch cells 24s, 3.65V max per cell. I don't know what parallel they are in.

I ordered a Fighter in Dec 2011, then changed the order to the Bomber. It arrived in April 2012. From 2012 to 2014, Stealth set records on volume unit sales, so its possible to see frame numbers with variations like ours and still be made in the same year.

In which case 83V would be good for longevity.

Personally would not go so high as 87V.

Just CC, "charge to and stop" is fine, but if holding CV / Absorb, stop at 0.05C

Adjustability in a charger would be ideal, but hard to find at such high voltages, pretty sure Satiator does not go so high.

This satiator can be set up to charge up to 103 volts. But only 5ah instead of 8ah.

Actually anything above 0.4C hits longevity unless the cell is hot.

Even that can be too fast as you go below T-shirt weather.

True for all LI not just LFP.

But just one Satiator is yes very flexible and precise, but not a high power charger anyway.
