I have thought maybe going to a more traditional smaller version and just gearing it down to stump puller speeds. But if I stay in my neighborhood I don't really need anything at all.
Making a stump pulling Ebike is also possible, and for little effort or cost. Get one of the new 3kW MXUS motors, put it in a rim that lets you mount a 16" motorcycle tire (like a wide strong BMX rim), and power it with one of these and one of the Sabatov controllers. You would be in the $1500 ball park, and have a really high torque high performance robust setup to throw in something with a good steel frame.
