I've been taking it out with a 36v 7ah lead acid battery as a stop gap measure until I have my lithium ready. It does go slower with the 7ah battery but it still makes the ride easier than plain pedaling. Everything went fine on my first 2 rides but on the 3rd a squeaking noise almost identical to the one that comes from a brake rubbing on a rim started coming from the motor hub every time I engaged the accelerator. I'm thinking of opening it later but before I do does anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this? All's I can be sure of is that it's definitely coming from inside the motor hub.
