as the title states, I am interested in the comparison controllers and which I should get for my project.

the Kelly controller I have on order is the;
Kelly QSKLS6018S - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33056886791.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.3a7c4c4dL10sEC

I am interested cancelling the order and getting the Sabvotom, as I've read reviews that they're better and easier to use?

The Sabvotom controller; https://aliexpress.com/item/32869786514.html?spm=a2g0o.cart.0.0.660c3c00Ww6mLc&mp=1

the sabvotom controller seems like it's better built, can do CAN, easier to hook up,and smaller in physical size.

I want to be able to upgrade battery and amperage as I go, starting from a 48V batt and going upto 60 or 72V after I buy more batts.

Please I need help, thanks in advance.

Here is the thread to my scoot that I'm electrifying.

Kelly gets a bad rep around here for reliability.

Sabvoton apparently is no more than a style of controller

now made by random cheap-chinese manufacturers varying in quality

MQCON is one, but not a stellar rep there either

I guess depends on the seller? I would trust the real QS Motors.

Nucular, but long waitlist.

New ASI BAC seller from Europe, want help tuning, he seems OK.

Sure wish I could reco a Sevcon tuner, just bought a GEN4 48V Size 2. . .

just get the kelly. the advantages outweigh the "stigma" kelly has. they sell a LOT of controllers and its a proper "brand", so if there are issues they will get lots of attention. see tesla for example. 1 car breaks down and its national news depsite they having a million cars on the road.
warranty is also fine. i have installed dozens of them and i had a few fail even out of warranty and Fany is always interested in the how and why and getting broken controllers back so they can diagnose the unit and fix design issuesm and shipping you a replacement unit and sometimes recommend getting a upgrade if you might have underspectd the controlller rating. kelly is really good at their warranty and support. for some reason thay actually seem to care about their product and customers.

I like my Kelly. Its ten years old and I bought used, but it has served me well.

I'd buy another. Certainly,.
