i just installed a BBSHD 1000 on my KHS 500 4 seasons fat bike. Got the 120mm version and a 42 tooth sprocket to go with it. Also installed a gear shift sensor and have but not installed yet the sensors for hydraulic brakes. The install went fairly easy, just needed about 1/8" of a spacer on the sprocket side to clear the chainstay which gave it a good chain line. Had to use 2 spacers on the left side so the locknut had enough threads to be useful. I got the 48 volt lizard style battery and noticed that one of the 4 small phillips screws connecting the metal piece to the plastic piece was stripped and sticking out about 2 threads worth. Any way I hooked it all up. the only extra step was adding a little dab of dialectric grease to the connectors and nothing, won,t start. I called the vendor who said check the voltage of the battery and it is 52 volts. But when i put the battery into its cradle no voltage shows at the connector from the cradle. I realize the dialectric grease is an insulator but metal to metal contact of the pins should allow current to pass through. The vendor is Roshan from Biktrix and he is sending me a new cradle at no charge which hopefully will correct the problem. He has been very helpful so i can say nothing bad about him. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem with a faulty cradle which I really hope is the only problem. Our winter up here is turning real mild so it would be fun to go for a ride. This is my first DIY kit. I also have a BIONX 500 kit on my road bike which has performed flawlessly so far. The hope for the KHS is to be my dirt bike
