LMX P2 : Freeride trials motorcycle frame development

My Kelly is not underrated from what I can remember.
I was seeing peak of 220A and the controller was set at 0,6 battery and 0.75 motor current if I recall well. Sounds like it matches the 450A phase rated.
My Cromotor was pulling so hard, I could flip over at 10mph with 10-11kg of battery on the fork...

We will find out soon ;)

Nope, I'm just back from a extended weekend with the family ;)
A friend printed my 1:1 drawings, I will do the tube bending this weekend and hopefully the swingarm will be done by monday!
I also have a video edit to finish and deliver for a customer...
I will try to record a riding video during the weekend ;)

I managed to wire my kelly and test the motor, all wire colors matches, runs great :) Did not reprogram yet, my laptop has issues with the usb->r232 converter.
Tomorow the tube bending starts!!

in case for me the best heavy tube 2.25mm thick, for 24x3 ...a little thicker than the 19"MX michelin but the michelin as a little bigger initial volume

All the frame bending was done last weekend with my friend Lucas, I ordered the remaining tubing for the swingarm. Things are moving, slower that what I would like to but mooving at least ! :D

Built the swingarm jig, I'm waiting for more tubing to weld the actual swingarm. I need to work on the main frame jig now but I don't have enougth materials. The last mechanical part I need is the rear swingarm pivot tube but i'ts a really simple part. can't wait to ride this bike, i'ts gonna be sick!

Looking good! With regards to the dual disc hub - surely it's not required? With a decent brake like a Hope M4 you can easily lock up the front wheel/flip yourself over the bars with just the one?!

could be wrong but i think the "dual disk hub" is meant to be used for this build as the REAR hub...
one side for the rear disk brake mount..
the other, drive side disk holes will be used to mount a very large sprocket instead of a freewheel etc..
:)

this is coming along very nicely! im interested to see how this compares to your previous build. i know its still pretty early to be asking - but do you have any plans to sell a small batch of frames? personally im interested in higher power (and have just purchased one of john in cr's hubmonsters for a dh bike project) but i could easily convince some friends into getting something like this. a good mid drive frame just doesn't exist unless you make one as im sure you realize  and is the point of you making this

best of luck, can't wait to see it running!

It feels very good to see it taking shape :p Still a lot of work but at least it's very motivating. However I did not use earbuds when cuting/grinding and my ears are very painfull tonight

I hope to have a rolling chassis by monday, if I manage to build my rear wheel.

Jansvr, as I have a jig, next frames builds will be way faster  I will build a few for friends and test the hell out of them, then we'll see if I can get the frames made somewhere.

Looking great! I am trying to get back motivated to get mine finished too! I can't wait to see what the big block will do. I decided to go your way too and do pedal less since California allows our "1000" watt motor without pedals! Lol! Hmm, I assume they measure that 1000 watts at around 100 volts RIGHT? HAHA!

I built my rear wheel today, Shimano DH hub, 203mm "ice" shimano rotor, Halo spokes, Kris Holm 24" x 47mm trial rim, Kenda tube, Vuelta 24"x3" tire.
One exepensive rear wheel
Pictures later but the setup is almost wider than my 17" setup on the LMX P1 and so light :D
