I wasn't sure about this when setting up my CA and left it at the default 50A setting.

My battery amp specs are:

Rated Discharging Amperage: 20 Amps
Max Continuous Discharging Amperage: 40 Amps
Maximum Discharging Current: 60 Amps
Discharging Cut-off Protection: 40-50 Amps

How does the above info relate to the CA "MaxAmps" setting?

Thanks,
Anthony

Your amp limit will be dictated by the limit on your controller before the cycle analyst has any effect, if your controller is a higher amperage than the cycle analyst default. You'll be easier on the battery setting a lower limit like 20 to 30 amps, 40 amps max according to the battery info you provided.

That setting is simply a limit you can set so the CA rolls back throttle before it is reached, to limit power to the system as a whole. It can be done for legal reasons or to keep a big controller from hammering a small battery. You set it to the lowest limit of any of those things. If you don't want to limit anything just set it really high or off if your version has that.
