NewSpeed 36v 10ah fat tire ebike

the green rx wire from the display is sending 5v to the rx pad on the controller
is the controller supposed to send or receive voltage on the rx pad
is the controller supposed to send or receive voltage on the tx pad, it has zero voltage

this users manual calls the green rx wire a data receiver but the display is sending 5v not receiving

Do you still have any hair or have you already pulled it all out?
i dont know why im bothering at all with this controller except that its pissing down rain outside. could be brand new dud??

the 36v controller had TRIANGLE screws holding it together
the phase wires are the same but the hall wires are a different combination
this motor is a js170b-48v 350 watt, not a bafang
i wonder if this controller senses that and just shuts down instead of grunting and groaning

switched the halls around and still nothing
hooked up the "new" controller and success

this controller has a 3 speed switch, tire seems to be spinning a little slow
now i just have to do it proper

the 3 speed connector has 3 wires. ground, 2.5v and 5v. jumped ground to 5v and got full speed.
the board doesnt have the right pads on it for the display
finish it tomorrow

chopped off and soldered the bulk of the rats nest of wires
drilled 2 more holes in the frame to bolt the battery straight through the frame and 2 holes in the metal battery base to match the water bottle holes. the battery has 4 bolts holding it and its pretty solid

battery turns it on and a throttle to go, thats it
front shock was seized but lithium spray got it working smoothly again
just need to tension the spokes on the rear and true it
thats it for this one
