Any chance of a raw link please, Miles? All I get with that link is a full page of repeated "Google translate" headers but no translated web site, presumably because I won't allow Google to hit me with spam............

According to the controller. There have been some delays in connection with the effects of EMP on the test chip. Today, they are actually completed. Complete prototypes in parallel preparing to launch a series.

We also have open positions (full-time, formalization, territorial office in Kaluga region of meters):
- Installer (soldering the power of the controllers, connectors, assembly and testing)
- Software Engineer microcontrollers (ARM, maybe msp430)

@Adaptto
Any update on this sweet sweet controller? We're all 'champing at the bit' here :)

Am sourcing my build at the moment and with CycleAnalyst3 is just around the corner, don't know how much longer I can wait!

Also monochrome display is so 1988! i know full color costs more (in rubles & power), but give us an option? :)

I have been so dam busy this last two years not to mention learning how to build a contoller and understand inductance! Look at the BMS that took over 2 years to get completed! This forum is full of very smart people but when they are that smart some have ADD and some just plain bite off more then they can chew lol. Its all good!

When a persons brain is constantly coming up with new ideas and projects, it's really easy to get distracted.....then after a few setbacks.....burnt out!

I wonder if I'm lazy at times but I work 40 hours a week helping my boss run his business's while he is there and away with the nitro Harley. Then I work ~20 hr a week at my shop for my business then I still find 5-10 hr a week for this electric stuff so I can assure my self not lazy. Just borderline burnt out! But I have become good at juggling my time! :)

We need to start an ES apprentice program so all of us that are knee deep in cool stuff can get some help!

I have time, spending more of it on going to school parttime than on working in this economy. I got money so long as I don't just start "Buying one of everything." Use my head and I'll be able to get what I need. One good shoulder and another that's finally recovering. No space, but if I get rid of some things from before I got hurt and I'm not interested in anymore, I MIGHT be able to set up some welding and other fabrication equipment. . . .

Nah, the REAL story is, if we were all members of some hackerspace, there'd be people around wanting to see what I'm working on, so I 'Git 'er dun,' whether you were finishing yours or not. I finish first at school.

Dang, imagine the "Endless Sphere Hackerspace. . . ."

Don't know how to connect it all up yet.
There are 3 cables coming out of the dashboard, 1 of the 2 is throttle I presume. Don't know what is the pinout on the Halls connector either.

It's ok - a little bit of patience never hurt anyone

sorry lyen... looks like ill be holding off on that infinion a while...

great to hear this project isn't dead... I was starting to worry - even knowing these things take waaaay longer than ever anticipated.

My first build barely has 200 miles on it and already... ME WANT.

...not to mention smoked the hardware... You've got more self control than I would have. I would start with the best of intentions, but it would call to me from my workbench until I just had to start connecting shit together. :)

Spoke to one of the guys at Adaptto and received the pinouts and startup guide. Got a motor running on the bench using the 'auto detect' mode, which scans through all the possible phase/hall combos.

The display interface is awesome - extensive control over all the parameters plus monitoring.

Time to try it on a real bike now 8)

@ FT. Have you hooked it up to a little RC motor. I would love to hear how different it sounds compared to a normal RC ESC or typical ebike controller.

Any chance of posting the Startup Guide?
It looks like a draft version to me. Not sure if there's any point in posting it.

Unless I missed something, these controllers are designed with the big-hub-motor in mind. I'll confirm whether or not they are compatible with low inductance / high speed type motors. Besides, someone borrowed that C80100.

+1 on the sound difference vid!

Look back a few posts... I asked em about driving RC type motors, I think they said they'd do fine, though with a slightly lower max power output.
edit
sorry, looks like my memory modified itself to align with my hopes... it seems he forgot to answer that question (it was buried among a few).
There was talk of them testing these controllers out on a colossus (page 3), they thought it'd run it, but at a lower power level.

splinteroz and myself would be real keen to test one on a colossus, in fact splinter would quite likely piss himself with excitement at the prospect of another dyno session. :D

:). I would love to see that. The controller tests that is.

Indeed I probably would.

I have other news for you when I get time to PM you.

Final pre-production version of hardware and software test.
Sorry, could not make the controller become hotter than +15C on fets bar at ~ +5C outdoor temp.
No blow, no smoke is a good sign  Boards are ordered....
