Trying to balance a 36p li-ion battery pack.

Hello Endless Sphere,

Is it possible to balance a 36p li-ion battery back in a reasonable amount of time (roughly 4 hours)? I am trying to build a 12s36p battery pack and I am trying to find a cost efficient, on-board BMS that can provide protection and balancing.

I was looking into this BMS which provides protection and balancing, but the balance current is a bit low (6mA) per series pack. Any ideas will be appreciated.

What Cells is your Battery made of? 36P must be a crazy large Battery, but if the cells are new it shouldn't be such a problem.


I have been using these lately. They can do 50-60ma.
