TSDZ2 - crank just spins, pls help

Suddenly, after a stop, the motor won't engage. Cranks spin with clicking.

I don't have one, so I'm just guessing. I'm helping a friend get one on her trike, so I'm interested.

The motor spins under power, but does not turn the chainring ('engage')?
The Cranks spin when you pedal, but do not turn the chainring?

The clutch is kaput. You need to open it and see what is going on. Post some photos.
