Wiring new controller, motor dies at full throttle?

I just wired up a new Panalogic controller to a friends bike. It seems to work fine at low throttle, but when I go full throttle it just dies. I can then hit the throttle again and it goes again.

Have you guys seen this?

Maybe the throttle range goes too high for the new controller and it throws a fault when you go full throttle.

Try a different throttle. I never knew why, but once I had a throttle that would not work on a particular controller. Worked fine on others.

It would do the same thing, ramp up fine, but shut off when you hit full throttle.

Thanks for your help, everyone! I was able to troubleshoot and fix the issue thanks to your help. In the end it turned out to be the power supply I was powering it with. Its a CC/CV supply I built myself, and it couldnt keep up with the current/voltage demands of the motor as fast as I moved the throttle. I hooked it up to a 72V battery and it runs perfectly:)

Ive never run an ebike motor from a power supply rather than a battery. This is something to watch out for.
