need help 'cause I am stuck with something I really cannot understand!!
Last year I built a balancing system based on TL431 low voltage regulator for my 20S lifepo4 pack, so I bought 25x TL431 from mouser and all went well.
Now I am building a high-voltage-cut-off also based on TL431 and very similar circuitry, so I bought 25x TL431 from my local retailer but they don't work.
So I tried to replace the TL431 with one spare that was left from last year and it works perfectly!!
My initial thought was that the TL431 from local retailer were defective and brought them back; then I ordered 25x more TL431 from another online supplier and they also don't work
The difference is:
- working TL431 from mouser: TLV431CLP
- not working TL431 from other supplier: TL431AILP
Checking on data sheet the difference between A and C series is just tolerance.
What the heck is going on?
