Hello everyone,

I have a simple question and I hope there is someone out there who can solve my "problem".

I bought this cheap ESC (attachment) with a HUB motor for one of my projects. I use it for testing with 6S and it works fine. They say it can be used with 8S too and on the board I can see a very small "36V" logo upper left with some sort of jumper. Usually I would solder a bridge from the 36V pin to GND but I am not 100% sure. (Don't wanna burn something up :)). Unfortunately there was so manual with this ESC (China :-/).

Perhaps someone knows it better than me, thanks!

Philipp

I don't believe connecting 36V to GND will enable some sort of 'higher voltage mode'. The input voltage can be sensed quite easily by the circuit at the battery connection. If they say it can be used with 8S why don't believe them and try if it works?
